Township Trustees
The Trustees make up the Township Board along with the Supervisor. They are responsible for certifying tax levies and adopting the annual budget and appropriation ordinance for all township funds. The Trustees are also responsible for approving all town expenses and auditing bills submitted for payment.
The Town Board meets on the last Monday of every month at 4:15 p.m., unless it falls on a Holiday.

KJ is the Community Development Program Manager for the City of Moline. As a program manager, KJ oversees community development projects and programs in order to create and maintain a vibrant community, including the Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction Program, which includes the City of Rock Island. She has over 28 years of combines municipal public service. KJ also works part-time for the Rock Island Hy-Vee as a customer service clerk. She has served 33 year and continues to serve on the Rock Island Labor Day Advisory Board. She is also the President of the Rock Island County Heath Board and is member of Rock Island’s Edgewood Baptist Church. KJ has been active in her community for over 30 years. She has always wanted to be involved and serve in her community. Along with the other South Rock Island Township Board Members and staff, KJ will do her best to make Routh Rock Island Township the best it can be for the residents to live, work, and play.
Mark Parr, Jr., Trustee

Mark has been a resident of South Rock Island Township since Oct 1978. He is married to his wife Julie for 40 years and has two children (Joshua and Jessica) and four grandchildren (Abbie, Calvin, Kylie, and Korbin). He retired from John Deere and served as President of UAW Local 79. Mark has been an SRI Township Trustee since 2005. He is proud that the Township focuses its efforts on programs that meet the needs of the residents. His hobbies include Golfing and fishing. I have experience with the Township budget and my goal is to maintain a responsible and financially secure Township."

Bill is a lifelong resident of Rock Island. He is a graduate of Rock Island Senior High School & Western Illinois University and is now married, 2 children and 4 Grandchildren Bill use to Coached Youth Basketball and Flag football teams and is a retired Lieutenant with 30+ years on the Rock Island Police Dept. & retired from Rock Island County Court Services. Presently, he is on the Board of Directors Rock Island Labor Day Parade Committee and Rock Island Clean & Beautiful. In the past was part of the Board of Directors Community Caring Conference, Executive Board Member Rock Island Police Benevolent Association and presently a retired volunteer for the Association. He has also served on State Board and former President Policemen's Benevolent & Protection Association of Illinois, was Rock Island Employee & Citizen of the Year 1991, recognized by Illinois Governor's Committee on Crime Prevention, United Way, Rotary, and Jaycees for his police work, 1994 Certificate of Accommodation from President Bill Clinton for his commitment to safety and dedication to his community in Law Enforcement.
Frank Skafidas, Trustee

Frank has served as a Trustee since 2011. He's a life-long resident of Rock Island, where he raised his three daughters, with his wife Frances. He currently works at Hodge Company as a Safety Coordinator, and has volunteered for many local organizations, including Junior Achievement and United Way. Frank says, "Serving South Rock Island Township means a lot to me because I believe in giving back to my community." Frank has worked hard to make sure the Township provides high-quality services at a low-cost to tax payers
